When you volunteer with us, you help provide hope, healing, and support to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and homicide.<\/p>\r\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re offering a warm welcome at our walk-in resource center, lending a hand at an outreach event, or helping behind the scenes, your time and compassion have the power to change lives.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Getting Started<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Our team will guide you every step of the way and help match you with a volunteer role that fits your interests, availability, and comfort level. The first step is to click the button to the right and fill out your application. Some placements, such as our crisis line or SA volunteers, may need to submit additional documentation or complete background checks before being assigned to duty. These documents will be provided by the Volunteer Coordinator only if needed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"full-box\">\r\n<div id=\"demos\">\r\n    <div id=\"dv-1\" class=\"card card-min vol\">\r\n    <div class=\"card-top-before\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-top\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-text\">\r\n\t<h3>Moving\/Deliveries<\/h3>\r\n\t<p>We need volunteers with trucks\/vans and the strength to help move larger items, such as furniture. We regularly have clients moving out of shelter and into their new homes, or receive donations that need to be picked up and brought to our storage shed.<\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n\r\n    <div id=\"dv-2\" class=\"card card-min vol\">\r\n    <div class=\"card-top-before\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-top\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-text\">\r\n    <h3>Phone Volunteers<\/h3>\r\n    <p>We are always in need of volunteers who are willing to assist with answering the phones at our walk-in location, speaking with people who come in for assistance, making referrals to other agencies when appropriate, referring to our clinical staff or other staff members as needed. Typically a four-hour shift during weekdays.<\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n\r\n    <div id=\"dv-3\" class=\"card card-min vol\">\r\n    <div class=\"card-top-before\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-top\"><\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"card-text\">\r\n    <h3>Events Help<\/h3>\r\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s manning an information table at a health fair or assisting with planning our fundraisers, we always need event volunteers!<\/p>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n\r\n\t<div id=\"dv-4\" class=\"card card-min vol\">\r\n\t<div class=\"card-top-before\"><\/div>\r\n\t<div class=\"card-top\"><\/div>\r\n\t<div class=\"card-text\">\r\n\t<h3>Trainers<\/h3>\r\n<p>Have a special skill or profession that could benefit our residents? Why not come teach a class? Through a cooperative agreement with IP Casino Resort, we provide volunteers to serve as ushers at their concerts, and they provide a financial donation for each show. We are always in need of usher volunteers. The work is easy and ushers get to see some great concerts for free! These special people make themselves available to be on call to visit victims of sexual assault in the hospital, provide support, and share information about available support services. Members of VOICES join to celebrate strength and survival and use their voices to help others through advocacy, education, and empowerment.  As survivors, VOICES members can offer a unique perspective regarding the community response to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
