Victims may not identify as trafficked, and their signs of distress can easily be overlooked. Whether it&#8217;s for labor or sex, traffickers use manipulation, threats, isolation, and violence to control their victims. Below are some signs that may help you recognize when someone may be in danger.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"full-box marg-top\">\r\n\r\n<div class=\"articlebx\">\r\n<h2><i class=\"fa-solid fa-grip-vertical\"><\/i>Behavioral Signs<\/h2>\r\n<ul class=\"marg-bottom\">\r\n<li>Fearful or anxious demeanor: The person appears nervous, avoids eye contact, or seems unusually submissive.<\/li>\r\n<li>Exhibits unusually fearful or anxious behavior after bringing up law enforcement<\/li>\r\n<li>Inconsistent stories: Their explanation of their situation doesn\u2019t add up, or seems scripted or rehearsed.<\/li>\r\n<li>Limited communication: They may not speak for themselves and defer to someone else to answer questions.<\/li>\r\n<li>Isolation: Rarely alone, always accompanied by someone who controls or monitors them.<\/li>\r\n<li>Claims of \u201cjust visiting\u201d and inability to clarify where they are staying\/address<\/li>\r\n<li>Lack of knowledge of whereabouts and\/or do not know what city they are in<\/li>\r\n<li>Loss of sense of time<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"articlebx\">\r\n<h2><i class=\"fa-solid fa-grip-vertical\"><\/i>Physical &amp;
