STATUS: <\/strong>Non-exempt<\/p>\r\n

LOCATION: <\/strong>Porter<\/p>\r\n

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:<\/strong> Sexual Assault Program Manager<\/p>\r\n

HOURS:<\/strong> : Full-Time 40-hour work week Monday – Friday, some evening and weekend work may be required. <\/p>\r\n

SUMMARY:<\/strong>Provides case management and trauma informed crisis intervention, advocacy, outreach, emotional support and case coordination to sexual assault survivors.<\/p>\r\n

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong> Essential position requirements include but are not limited to:
\r\nMinimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in social work, psychology or related field. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. <\/p>\r\n

Ability to work diplomatically in order to gain and maintain professional relationships with various community partners and contacts <\/p> \r\n

Ability to be empathetic and skilled in active listening<\/p>\r\n

Ability to navigate the criminal justice system <\/p> \r\n

Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment <\/p> \r\n

Ability to be on call for emergency referrals 24\/7 <\/p> \r\n

Ability to express complex information and ideas both verbally and in writing. <\/p> \r\n

Ability to present with a strong aptitude for building relationships <\/p> \r\n

Ability to work within agency mission, philosophy and policies\/procedures. <\/p> \r\n

Must have a reliable vehicle and meet agency driving policy requirements, including a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance. Local travel required <\/p> \r\n

General physical requirements include but are not limited to: bending, stooping, climbing stairs, prolonged sitting of more than 4 hours. <\/p>\r\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:<\/h2>\r\n

Clinical<\/h3>\r\n
    \r\n
  • Provides crisis response to area hospitals for survivors of sexual assault <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Provides advocacy and case management for victims with law enforcement, courts, and medical staff <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Conduct assessments of victims\u2019 immediate threat of harm <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Collaborate with other community partners and social service agencies to seek and obtain services and support for clients <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Provide client transportation as needed to community locations <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Accompany clients to court proceedings and law enforcement interviews, as needed. <\/li>\t\r\n
  • Serve as liaison with community agencies and referral sources to better serve clients<\/li>\t\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    Agency Compliance<\/h3>\r\n
      \r\n
    • Maintain comprehensive and organized files utilizing the automated case management system <\/li>\r\n
    • Adhere to the agency\u2019s confidentiality policies, maintaining a high level standard of confidentiality <\/li>\r\n
    • Compile and accurately report all applicable program statistics on time and as directed <\/li>\r\n
    • Report any known or suspected child abuse to immediate supervisor <\/li>\r\n
    • Report any suspicious activity or persons <\/li>\r\n
    • Attend and participate in agency staff meetings and trainings <\/li> \r\n
    • Report to work on time as scheduled <\/li>\r\n
    • Maintain a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance <\/li>\r\n
    • Perform all other duties and\/or participate in special projects as assigned by direct supervisor or Chief Executive Officer. <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

      Other Duties<\/h3>\r\n
        \r\n\t
      • Participate in hurricane evacuation and facility preparation.<\/li>\r\n\t
      • In case of emergencies will be required to assist with 24-hour shelter coverage<\/li>\r\n\t
