Offered in partnership with AEquitas and Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC). Law enforcement, prosecutors, and community-and system-based advocates are all welcome to attend. 7 hours CEUs available for law enforcement and 7 hours CLEs approved for attorneys. ——————————————- This one-day training will discuss the full extent of stalking behaviors and tools to help identify stalking and to help keep victims safe. Presenters will also discuss thorough investigations of these difficult cases and ways to go forward with prosecution regardless of whether or how a victim testifies in court. Participants will be better able to: • identify the incidence, prevalence, and impact of stalking; • use the SLII Framework to identify the full range of stalking behaviors; • identify the intersection of stalking and domestic violence; • utilizing the SHARP assessment, identify the 14 risk factors in stalking cases; • encourage victim participation by meeting needs; • implement trauma-informed strategies that enhance victim safety and participation. ——————————————- Coffee, beverages, and snacks will be provided.
